It is a non-poisonous snake with arboreal habits, which can reach 1.70 m and has a prehensile tail. As young they are bright yellow or brick red. It feeds mainly on rodents and even other reptiles, when they are young they can eat insects.

SOME OF ITS CHARACTERISTICS
Large snake, with aggliphoid teeth, it can measure up to 6 meters and weigh 85 kg. Their skin is cream or light brown in color, and has rectangular designs or patterns of a dark hue. It kills its prey by constriction since it does not have poison. Young pythons feed on rodents and baby birds, adult pythons feed on small crocodiles, monkeys, ruminants, and pigs, although they more frequently consume rodents (rats).
